Hey Shirley,

Here are the GPS Cordinates:

GPS Coordinates: 29.5953ºN, 95.3895ºW (WGS84/NAD83)

And here is the address and phone # to the Bass Pro Shop Store in Pearland Texas

1000 Basspro Drive
Pearland Texas 77584

Phone: 713-770-5100

If you're just visiting the area, I'd highly recommend the store in Katy Texas over this one. It's larger and has much more to offer...plus it's at the end of the Katy Mills Mall!

You know, stores like Gander Mountain and Bass Pro use to be the Outdoor specialty stores. Places where you could find odd ball ammo or special gear. Now, it seems they're just extensions of the Outdoor Dept. of Wal-Mart.

As I said in the post above, we have an outdoor store in the Houston area that has 4 stores. Carter's Country has been around since the beginning of time and they have what you need 99.9% of the time if it concerns shooting. Very few times have I went in and NOT found what I was looking for!

I have been to one Bass Pro Shops, down around Atlanta. I wasn't too impressed with their store. It would be nice having some large outdoor stores fairly close. Our nearest Cabelas is in Wheeling, WV (2 hrs) and the next closest is Dundee, MI (3+ hrs). About the only time I make the drive to Wheeling is when I have something waiting for me in the Gun Library.

We do have one place about 45 minutes away that blows away the local Gander and Dick's. Buckeye Outdoors

Thanks for the comment Kristine,

The Bass Pro Store in Broken Arrow Oklahoma is the same design as the Bass Pro Store in Pearland Texas. It seems that these smaller, compact stores are built to compete with other Outdoor stores in Major markets.

I just got back from my Oklahoma hunt and stopped by the Broken Arrow OK store just to compare the two again. Yep, same stores. If you were led blindfolded into either store, you'd have a hard time telling the two apart.

It is strange how two stores from the same company can be so different. They might just have been having some teething troubles, since they just opened. You also might send Bass Pro a copy of this post or write a letter and tell them what you think. If they're smart, they'll listen.
