If you’re going to be hunting deer in Kentucky during the fall ‘07 deer season, there’s some new regulations that you’ll need to know about.
I don’t know if the citizens of Kentucky have had a problem with this, but the new regulations stipulate that if you own a Concealed Carry permit, it’s still illegal to carry a modern firearm into the woods during Archery, Crossbow and Muzzleloading season.

I came across this story on the news wire today. I had to do a double take to make sure it wasn’t a joke. It wasn’t. California wants to ban lead bullets to save the Condor. Do Condors fly around and look for bullets to eat?

I’ve been a fan of the Benoits ever since I was a small child. My Dad use to get all the major Hunting & Fishing Magazines and I can still remember that 1972 issue of Sports Afield with Larry Benoit on the front cover looking through his peep site at me. The caption of the front cover was “Is This America’s Best Deer Hunter?”

Wisconsin deer hunters still must worry about chronic wasting disease (CWD) this year when they get out to go deer hunting.
Judging by the numbers that the Wisconsin DNR is putting up on their website, the number of deer sample who had CWD has stayed about the same as last year. In 2006 about 30,000 deer were sampled and of those, 205 were positive. As of July 20th, 2007, 856 deer sample were tested positive, however this sampling was around 130 thousand.

Roger Raglin, his Wife, Darlene, their 20 year old Daughter and their 18 year old Son along with several other people were injured in a boating accident on Lake Erie July 17th.
I’d like to wish Roger and his whole family a speedy recovery. I’ve watched Roger for years and can’t get enough of his shows. I hate to see this happen to anyone.
