Nix the pearland reviews. I have had nothing but great experiences with the store & help. I had a problem with a minkota trolling motor 2 years after I bought it. The fishing Department & customer service were great. They replaced the motor with nothing but smiles.

I read the review about Bass Pro Shop in Pearland and went minutes after reading the poor review. The review I read is absolutely correct! Not only do they not have what you need, you get smart remarks from the uniterested help. I’ve been to the Katy store with great experience. Also ordered from the magazine, Great. After this experience in Pearland I think it would not only do me justice to never visit the Pearland store but, for everyone to do the same until this store is fixed!

Just tried to key in the address on gps. Tells me no such street! Sorry to hear the reviews. I agree that Carter Country is hard to beat. They could always take care of what we needed. I wasn’t impressed with the Katy Basspro Shop. Gander Mtn on 45 has some good people working there, really helpful. Like the big guys, my bunch wears the 3XT and + as well as 13 and over boots. Hard to get.

I where 2XT and when no one has tall sizes I go for the 3X or 4X; don’t the stores know that hunters are not vegans and we eat wild game for every meal.

You know, stores like Gander Mountain and Bass Pro use to be the Outdoor specialty stores. Places where you could find odd ball ammo or special gear. Now, it seems they're just extensions of the Outdoor Dept. of Wal-Mart. As I said in the post above, we have an outdoor store in the Houston area that has 4 stores. Carter's Country has been around since the beginning of time and they have what you need 99.9% of the time if it concerns shooting. Very few times have I went in and NOT found what I was looking for! The Bass Pro Store in Broken Arrow Oklahoma is the same design as the Bass Pro Store in Pearland Texas. It seems that these smaller, compact stores are built to compete with other Outdoor stores in Major markets.

I just got back from my Oklahoma hunt and stopped by the Broken Arrow OK store just to compare the two again. Yep, same stores. If you were led blindfolded into either store, you’d have a hard time telling the two apart.
