Been outdoors most of my life, fishing, camping, hiking. Always wanted t learn to hunt (especially whitetail) and nobody to teach me. Went to a Safari Club Intl function recently but they're world travelers way above my level. Been working on skills but having a hard time getting hands-on training. What then? I’m exactly that guy. IF you get 2 weeks vacation a year, you don't want to "waist" your vacation learning to hunt. You want to actually be hunting. Having grown up with a father who taught me to hunt, I'm finally getting back into hunting this year (I finally have time and a place to go), and I'm really trying to brush up on my skills before I hit the woods. It just seems sort of sad that people have to pay to take a class to learn to hunt. Though I suppose it isn't much different than paying to participate in a Becoming an Outdoors Woman weekend.
