Attention New Mexico Hunters - Surplus Permits Available August 7!

According to the New Mexico Dept. of Game & Fish, there are about 2000 left over Permits available for Deer and about 60 left over Permits for Elk available. These Permits will be available on the Departments website starting at 8 a.m. on August 7th.

There is a $6 application fee and it's first come, first served. As soon as your credit card is approved, you bag one of the Permits. How simple is that? That is of course, if you can type quick!

Deer huntersmust then purchase an over the counter Deer hunting license and a Habitat Management & Access Validation, and, if hunting on federal lands, a habitat stamp.

The left over Elk hunt Permits operate along the same lines. First come, first served and the Permits are awarded as soon as your credit card has been approved.

Most of these left over Permits are Archery hunting only in selected Management Units and for different hunting seasons.

So practice speed typing your credit card number and head on over to www.wildlife.state.nm.us to be one of the first to grab a left over Permit for New Mexico Deer and Elk hunting.
