i live in southeast ga and would like to know where i could hunt on wild live management aiers and where they are and who can i contact about hunting there

Hey Nathen you should check into hunting the WMA land there are a couple in north Georgia thaat are just sign in and or check in Hunts but alot of the WMA lands are quota hunts they only select a certain amount of people to hunt the land and you have to sign up for them by sept 1st I think you also must purchaase the WMA pass when you buy your license then there are the national forest land which some of them work the same way if you can find one of the hunting regulation guides for this year it has a list of all of these and directions to them all so you can find what is closest to you and go from there, My wife and I also hunt but are not fortunate enough to have access to any private land so I feel the frustration you have and I know some of these places can be a distance to drive but can be worth it, Thursday and Friday we saw seven deer but they did not give us a good shot so we could not take one. Ive lived in Georgia my whole life but have been hunting for the past 2 years on land owned by a friend but its not much land and not much deer. is there anywhere i can go hunting without paying a fortune in north GA?

I live in California but will be in Georgia for 3 weeks for work. I would love to go go deer hunting when I am in town and am staying outside of Atlanta. Any suggestions about guided hunts?

I was in training at Ft Benning. While I was there I had the opportunity to meet a farmer that invited a buddy, and I back for bobwhite and cottontail hunting. We did not make it back for a couple years. Our assignments made it harder , and harder, to go back. After retirement we made it an annual trip. Now the kind farmer has passed away, and the land was sold. I miss those hunts, but especially miss Mr. Jenkins.

I just moved to GA from VA and as you know obtaining hunting permission on private land is nearly impossible. I live in Kennesaw, GA (Cobb County)and I desperately looking for some information on public hunting land near here. Have any information for me?
